The Sales Engineer is responsible for generating business opportunities, developing customer relationships, promoting the company's Level Measurement and Process Automation products, achieving sales targets, and providing techno-commercial solutions to customers across various process industries such as Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, Cement, Steel, Power, Water & Wastewater, Oil & Gas, and OEMs.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and develop current customers in assigned territory.
- Generate enquiries from End Users, EPC Contractors, Consultants, OEMs and System Integrators.
- Conduct regular customer visits to promote company products and solutions.
- Develop new business opportunities and expand market presence.
Sales & Marketing
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Prepare sales plans and execute territory development activities.
- Promote Level Measurement, Process Automation and related instrumentation products.
- Conduct product presentations and technical discussions with customers.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
- Handle customer queries and provide timely support.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Techno-Commercial Activities
- Coordinate with the Inside Sales/Proposal team for quotation preparation.
- Follow up on quotations and negotiate commercial terms.
- Participate in technical discussions, bid clarifications and commercial negotiations.
- Support customers during technical evaluations.
Order Finalization
- Follow up from enquiry to order closure.
- Coordinate with internal departments for smooth order execution.
- Monitor project progress and delivery schedules.
- Support payment collection and outstanding receivables.
