Role Description
The Accountant at Bigly is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. The role involves preparing and reviewing invoices, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The Accountant will assist with budgeting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and coordinating with external auditors and consultants as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, requiring regular collaboration with operations, procurement, and management teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
- Strong skills in accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting, with experience managing ledgers and reconciling accounts.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel, including working with spreadsheets, financial models,



and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations, GST, and compliance requirements relevant to the food, agriculture, or FMCG sectors.
- Ability to review invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable, and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; skilled certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in the food, hospitality, or agri-supply chain industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
