We help students build competitive applications for top universities across the world's leading study destinations. We're looking for an experienced essay coach to craft Statements of Purpose (SOPs), Letters of Recommendation (LORs), resumes/CVs, and university-specific essays that are polished, authentic, and tailored to each student's profile — never templated.
Responsibilities
- Write and refine SOPs based on student interviews, profile notes, and career goal-mapping provided by our counseling team
- Draft LORs in collaboration with student/recommender input, matching tone and specifics to the recommender's voice
- Build clean, achievement-focused resumes/CVs tailored to each student's profile
- Write university-specific supplemental essays for top destinations worldwide
- Revise drafts based on internal review and student feedback, often across multiple rounds
- Maintain strict confidentiality of student personal and academic information
Requirements
- Proven experience coaching or writing personal essays, SOPs, or similar narrative content
- Background in literature, creative writing, or a related field
- A natural storyteller — able to find and shape a compelling narrative from raw material
- Excellent command of English; robust narrative and editing skills
- Ability to adapt tone/voice across different students and recommenders
- Comfortable working from structured input (interview notes, profile briefs) rather than starting from scratch each time
Nice to Have
- Experience in journalism, publishing, or professional storytelling
- Prior experience with an admissions consultancy or agency
- Experience coaching students on STEM/tech-focused profiles
Compensation
- Full-time salary, commensurate with experience
- Part-time/project-based compensation also considered, depending on candidate availability and fit
