Job Purpose

To develop, monitor, and control project schedules, ensure timely execution of project activities, track project progress, identify delays, recommend recovery measures, and provide accurate planning inputs for achieving project milestones within the approved timeline and budget.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning
- Prepare baseline project schedule using Primavera P6/MS Project.
- Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for all project activities.
- Prepare detailed execution schedules for highways, structures, bridges, culverts, earthwork, pavement, and utility works.
- Establish project milestones in line with contractual requirements.
- Prepare resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules.

Project Monitoring
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly project progress.
- Compare planned vs. actual progress and identify schedule deviations.
- Prepare look-ahead plans (7-day, 15-day, and monthly).
- Monitor critical activities and update the critical path.
- Conduct schedule risk analysis and recommend mitigation measures.

Project Controls




- Track physical and financial progress.
- Monitor productivity of manpower, machinery, and resources.
- Perform Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis.
- Prepare recovery plans for delayed activities.
- Ensure adherence to contractual milestones.

Coordination
- Coordinate with Construction, Survey, QA/QC, Procurement, Equipment, Billing, Contracts, HR & Admin, and Finance teams.
- Coordinate with consultants and clients for progress review meetings.
- Support project teams in resolving planning-related issues.

Reporting & MIS
- Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR).
- Prepare Weekly Progress Reports (WPR).
- Prepare Monthly Progress Reports (MPR).
- Present planning dashboards to Project Head and HO.
- Develop progress dashboards using Excel/Power BI.
- Maintain project planning databases and documentation.

Billing & Quantity Coordination
- Coordinate with QS and Billing teams for RA Bills and IPC submissions.
