The Opportunity
In this role you will:
- Take ownership of the preparation of the monthly management accounts including profit and loss account, balance sheet and cashflow report for various group entities
- Assist with the external audit where required
- Complete all assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Complete regulatory reporting – VAT, RTD and VIES returns as required
- Prepare year end files for audit and tax returns
- Review and approve supplier payments
- Support the budget and forecast process
- Support the payroll process including reviews and posting payroll journals
- Support junior members of the team, providing training and playing an active role in their development
- Detailed understanding of accruals and prepayment accounting
- Tangible and Intangible asset accounting
- Bank Reconciliations
- Management and Statutory account variance analysis
- Detailed understanding of bad debt provisioning or AR reserve
