The Automation & Controls Engineer is responsible for the complete electrical and logical lifecycle of high-precision Fixtures used in Electronic Gadget Manufacturing. This is a hands-on role requiring a blend of expert-level PLC/HMI programming and meticulous electrical craftsmanship. The goal is to deliver automated fixtures (for assembly, testing, or dispensing) that are technically superior, electrically protected, and aesthetically organized.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Control Logic & HMI Development
- Logic Programming: Interpret written technical requirements and drawings to develop robust PLC logic tailored for precision gadget handling. Perform comprehensive testing of the logic against customer-defined "Acceptance Criteria."
- HMI Interfacing: Design intuitive HMI screens for fixture operation and ensure seamless communication between the PLC, HMI, and other electronic components (sensors, actuators, controllers, etc).
- Rapid Modifications: Perform quick logic updates and hardware adjustments based on real-time customer suggestions or assembly feedback during the fixture build phase.
2. Electrical Integration & Craftsmanship
- Wiring & Routing: Execute neat and organized wiring layouts. Prioritize aesthetics and efficiency in cable management to ensure the fixture is production-ready and professional.
- Precision Soldering: Perform high-quality soldering for connectors, pins, and delicate electronic components, ensuring long-term durability and signal integrity for high-cycle fixture use.
- Component Awareness: Demonstrate deep knowledge of all circuit components (SMPS, Relays, Circuit Breakers, etc.) to ensure correct selec
