Job Description: Hostess – Luxury Resort

Job Summary

The Hostess is responsible for creating an exceptional first impression by warmly welcoming guests and ensuring a seamless dining experience. As the first point of contact for restaurant guests, the Hostess manages reservations, seating arrangements, and guest inquiries while delivering personalized service that reflects the luxury standards of the resort.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.
- Manage restaurant reservations and waiting lists efficiently.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Coordinate seating arrangements to maximize guest comfort and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate reservation records using the restaurant reservation system.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to guest inquiries regarding restaurant services, operating hours, and special events.
- Coordinate with restaurant managers, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest requests, preferences, and special occasions with attention to detail.




- Monitor the dining area to ensure cleanliness, ambiance, and presentation meet luxury standards.
- Assist in managing guest flow during peak service periods.
- Address guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Promote resort dining experiences, special menus, and events.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the resort's grooming standards.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene policies and procedures.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma in Hospitality Management is an advantage.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a hostess or in guest relations, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
- Excellent command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation systems is preferred.
- Solid customer service and communication skills.
