About the role

The
Transition Lead (Receiving Side)
is responsible for leading, governing, and executing the successful intake and operational stabilisation of incoming services, processes, or technologies into the organisation.

Acting as the primary bridge between the sending party and the receiving operational teams, this role ensures that all knowledge transfer, infrastructure, governance, and support frameworks are fully established. The position's purpose is to mitigate operational risk, secure business continuity, and ensure the receiving organisation is 100% capable of managing the current scope from Day 1.

What you’ll do

Transition Strategy & Governance
- Define and execute the receiving side transition methodology, including stage gate reviews,



readiness criteria and go/no go decision frameworks working closely with Sending Transition Leads
- Establish and participate in joint transition committees with the sending party to track progress, align timelines and manage dependencies.
- Proactively identify, log and mitigate risks related to knowledge gaps, delayed timelines or resource constraints on the receiving end.

Knowledge Transfer (KT) & Capability Building
- Define the knowledge transfer strategy (such as shadowing and reverse shadowing phases) and establish measurable criteria for successful knowledge acquisition.
- Review, validate and sign off on all incoming Standard Operating Procedures, runbooks and technical documentation to ensure they are fit for purpose.
- Oversee the training and upskilling of the receiving operational staff, ensuring no capability gaps remain at the point of handover.
