We are seeking a
Resident Data Architect
to support Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio and the broader data foundation for a long-term engagement, focusing on serverless data pipelines, modern data lake architectures and agentic AI integration aligned with AWS cloud-native best practices

Responsibilities
- Configure, manage and support Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio, including data catalog, blueprints and serverless compute capabilities
- Enable self-service data discovery, exploration and analysis for business and technical users through SMUS
- Maintain SMUS blueprints and templates for repeatable, governed data workflows
- Oversee SMUS IAM domains, access policies and governance configurations
- Architect the customer's data foundation on AWS to ensure scalability, governance and performance
- Optimize data lake architectures using Amazon S3, including contemporary storage formats such as Parquet, Iceberg and Delta
- Implement data cataloging, partitioning and lifecycle management strategies for large-scale data environments
- Integrate Amazon OpenSearch Service for search,



analytics and data exploration use cases
- Build serverless data pipelines using AWS Glue and AWS Lambda
- Develop ETL/ELT jobs for data ingestion, transformation and delivery across the data platform
- Support the integration and delivery of Quick Suite for analytics, dashboards and self-service reporting
- Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework principles with emphasis on security, reliability, performance efficiency and cost optimization

Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering or a related field within AWS cloud environments
- Expertise in Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio and data lake architecture
- Proficiency in AWS Glue and AWS Lambda for serverless data compute workflows
- Skills in Amazon S3 including modern storage formats such as Parquet, Iceberg and Delta
- Background in Amazon OpenSearch Service for search, analytics and data exploration
