Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Safety Engineer
to lead Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) activities at utility-scale solar project sites. The candidate will be responsible for implementing the project EHS Management System, ensuring statutory compliance, promoting a solid safety culture, and achieving zero incidents during project execution.
Key Responsibilities1. EHS Management
- Implement the Project EHS Management Plan.
- Ensure compliance with company EHS policies and client safety requirements.
- Monitor compliance with applicable statutory regulations.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and audits.
- Ensure safe work practices throughout project execution.
2. Permit to Work (PTW)
- Issue and monitor PTW for:
- Electrical work
- Work at Height
- Excavation
- Hot Work
- Confined Space Entry
- Lifting Operations
3. Risk Assessment
- Prepare and review:
- Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
- Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA)
- Method Statements
- Safe Work Procedures
4. Incident Management
- Report accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Conduct incident investigations.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions.
5. Training & Awareness
- Conduct:
- Site Safety Induction
- Daily Toolbox Talks
- Weekly Safety Meetings
- Emergency Response Training
- Mock Drills
