Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for plant operations, including raw materials, engineering spares, consumables, MRO items, capital equipment, Manpower contracts and outsourced services, ensuring timely availability and uninterrupted production.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers by obtaining quotations, conducting techno-commercial evaluations, negotiating pricing and commercial terms, finalizing contracts, and ensuring cost-effective procurement in line with business objectives.
- Coordinate closely with production, maintenance, engineering, stores, finance, quality, and vendors to plan procurement requirements, expedite deliveries, resolve supply-related issues, and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Lead and mentor the plant procurement team, allocate responsibilities, monitor performance, build capabilities, and drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor procurement performance and compliance by tracking purchase orders, vendor deliveries, documentation, statutory requirements, procurement MIS, and vendor performance, while driving continuous improvement in cost, quality, and service levels.
