Purpose of the Role

To support smooth plant operations by carrying out preventive and breakdown maintenance of production machinery and equipment, ensuring machine availability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Maintenance
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and production equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults in machines under the guidance of senior maintenance personnel when required.
- Perform replacement of bearings, belts, chains, rollers, couplings, seals, and other mechanical components.
- Ensure smooth operation of production equipment through timely maintenance interventions.

Equipment Inspection & Troubleshooting
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify wear, damage, leakage, vibration, or abnormal operating conditions.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Report recurring machine problems and support root cause identification.

Assembly & Fitting Activities
- Perform fitting, alignment, assembly,



dismantling, and adjustment of machine parts and components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments for maintenance activities.
- Carry out basic fabrication and fitting work as required during maintenance jobs.

Utility & Support Equipment Maintenance
- Assist in maintenance of compressors, pumps, conveyors, material handling equipment, and other utility systems.
- Ensure proper lubrication and upkeep of mechanical equipment as per maintenance schedules.

Preventive Maintenance & Documentation
- Execute preventive maintenance activities as per planned schedules.
- Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and machine history logs.
- Report spare part requirements and support inventory tracking.

Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and maintenance standards.
- Adhere to LOTO procedures during maintenance activities.
- Maintain 5S stand
