Luxury Resort Hospitality Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Hospitality Accountant to join our team at our prestigious luxury resort. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and supporting the resort's overall financial health and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management and Reporting
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements in accordance with the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI)
- Manage the resort's overall budget, including monitoring expenses and making necessary adjustments
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank and cash accounts daily
- Generate daily revenue and labor reports
- Compile and analyze financial data to provide insights to management
Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Process and review weekly accounts payable invoices
- Manage accounts receivable, including credit and collections
- Ensure effective management of accounts receivables to minimize credit risk
Budgeting and Forecasting




- Assist in preparing annual budgets and monitor adherence throughout the year
- Provide financial analysis and forecasting to support decision-making
- Collaborate with management to create budgets, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for financial improvements
Auditing and Compliance
- Perform regular financial audits, including cash registers, credit card statements, and banking accounts
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards
- Assist in internal and external audit processes
- Stay updated on changing tax laws and financial regulations
Luxury Sector Expertise
- Understand and apply financial best practices specific to the luxury hospitality industry
- Provide financial insights to optimize operations and maintain the resort's high standards of luxury
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with the resort's luxury brand image
