PPIC professionals generally transition through three levels of responsibility:
- Handles daily/weekly scheduling, coordinates batch paperwork, monitors stock levels, and tracks material requirements.
- Oversees capacity planning, manages vendor coordination, analyzes inventory aging (expired/short-expiry stock), and troubleshoots bottlenecks.
- Develops long-term production strategies based on sales forecasts, manages high-level resource allocation, controls holding costs, and ensures compliance with global regulatory standards.
