Jacobs Engineering is seeking 10 Structural Engineers to support a growing portfolio of industrial engineering projects. This is a fully remote opportunity with the potential to convert to a full-time position after six months. Candidates must possess a Skilled Engineer (P.E.) License, strong structural design experience, and expertise in steel and reinforced concrete structures. Industrial project experience is required; candidates with only residential experience will not be considered.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) License – Mandatory.
Minimum 4+ years of structural engineering design experience.
Robust experience designing steel and reinforced concrete structures.
Advanced proficiency with STAAD.Pro for structural analysis.
Working knowledge of Revit.
Solid understanding of IBC, AISC, ACI, and other applicable structural design codes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Industrial, manufacturing, power, chemical, oil & gas, or similar project experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Design and analyze structural systems for industrial facilities and building structures.
Perform structural calculations using hand calculations, spreadsheets, Mathcad, and STAAD.Pro.
Develop and review structural models and engineering calculations.
Support structural designers by providing technical input for contract drawings in Revit.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and clients throughout project execution.
Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and engineering standards.
Prepare engineering documentation, reports, and technical deliverables.
