Position Summary

The Dean of the School of Law will provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership to advance excellence in legal education, research, and community engagement. The role is responsible for academic quality, faculty development, student success, regulatory compliance, industry partnerships, and the overall growth of the School of Law.

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Leadership
- Provide visionary leadership aligned with the universitys mission and strategic goals.
- Ensure high standards in teaching, research, and curriculum development.
- Promote innovative teaching methodologies and interdisciplinary collaboration.

2. Faculty Management & Development
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and academic staff.
- Foster a research-driven culture and encourage publications in reputed journals.
- Support career development, grants, and research initiatives.

3. Student Success & Engagement
- Oversee admissions, academic progression, and student support services.
- Promote moot court activities, legal aid clinics, internships,



and experiential learning.
- Ensure a positive and inclusive academic environment.

4. Research & Industry Collaboration
- Strengthen partnerships with law firms, judiciary bodies, corporate legal departments, and NGOs.
- Promote funded research, consultancy, and policy engagement.
- Represent the School in national and international academic forums.

5. Administration & Financial Oversight
- Prepare and manage the School’s annual budget.
- Ensure effective utilization of resources.
- Lead strategic planning, rankings improvement, and institutional growth.

6. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Lead accreditation processes and quality assurance initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience
- Ph.D. in Law or equivalent terminal degree (LL.M. with significant academic and administrative experience may be considered as per regulations).
- Solid publication record
