Role Objective: To support the client on policy and regulatory review, programme tracking, stakeholder engagement, and preparation of analytical notes, cost-benefit assessments, workshops, presentations, and minutes related to the Small Hydro Power Programme.
Minimum Academic Qualification: Masters degree in Management / Public Policy / Energy Policy (MBA / PGDM or equivalent).
Minimum Relevant Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. (7+ years preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake policy and regulatory review for the SHP sector, including identifying relevant policy developments, regulatory issues, and implementation bottlenecks affecting the programme.
- Prepare policy notes, regulatory notes, analytical briefs, and structured summaries to support the clients review and decision-making on SHP sector matters.
- Support costbenefit analysis of SHP interventions and assist in development of policy and regulatory trackers for monitoring key issues and developments.
- Coordinate and support design and organization of workshops, conferences, consultations,
and review meetings related to SHP developments and dissemination of progress.
- Prepare presentations, talking points, minutes of meetings, action-point trackers, and follow-up notes arising from meetings with States, agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Support interactions and coordination with State Governments, utilities, and implementing agencies for programme-related consultations and review processes.
- Contribute to preparation of master decks, review materials, and stakeholder-facing content required for programme communication and policy engagement.
Required Experience:
- Experience in working / interacting / coordinating with State Governments, utilities, or implementing agencies in the power or renewable energy sector, especially in the area of Hydro.
- Experience in organizing workshops, conferences, consultations, or stakeholder engagement processes in the power / renewable sector.
