Position: Manager Sr. Manager Taxation : Direct and Indirect Taxation - Well Known Education and Learning Group

Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile - Individual Contribution Role (Good Exp in Team Build and Handling)

Direct Tax
- Ensure timely and accurate compliances of all Income tax returns including corporate tax, TDS, advance tax, and MAT computations.
- Responsible for all Income Tax proceedings, appeals, and litigations before Assessing officer, CIT(A) and ITAT
- Advice the CFO and leadership team on the tax implications of current business initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring.
- Complete and maintain transfer pricing documentation and study report for benchmarking the intra-group transaction
- Ensure proper drafting of intercompany agreement and review of the documents etc.
- Preparation of income-tax computation, filling e-file returns etc.
- Proactively manage tax litigation risk; oversee all demand notices, SCNs, and departmental inquiries.
- Engage and coordinate with external tax counsels and advisors for complex matters.





Indirect Tax

Lead GST compliance including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and annual returns across all entities and states.

Manage GST input tax credit optimisation and reconciliation.

Handle GST audits, notices, and litigations before GST authorities and appellate tribunals.

Provide guidance on GST applicability on various revenue streams

Regulatory & Statutory Compliance

Ensure compliance with applicable provisions of the Income Tax Act, GST Act, Customs Act, and other statutes.

Maintain and renew all tax-related registrations (PAN, TAN, GST, 12A, 80G, FCRA, etc.).

Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and government authorities on taxation matters.

Experience and Qualification

Chartered Accountant with 7 to 12 years post qualification Experience in taxation function
