About Astrobase Space Technologies

Astrobase is a pioneering spacetech startup founded by prominent Senior ISRO scientists and IIT Bombay alumni with over 20 years of experience in designing, manufacturing, testing and flying advanced Cryogenic Launch Vehicles. Driven by a vision to make India a Space tech powerhouse, we are developing innovative launch vehicles that will transform space exploration. Key Responsibilities

Own procurement for all manufacturing requirements — aerospace-grade raw materials (Inconel, stainless steels, Copper, Alloys, PCTFE, etc) and vendor-managed processes (CNC machining, surface treatments, heat treatment, NDT, special processes).
Review purchase requests from the manufacturing team, share queries to vendors, release Purchase Orders and track till materials get delivered.
Validate incoming material documentation — mill test certificates (MTC), CoC, material test reports,



traceability records, and process certifications — in coordination with QA.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard recent vendors; maintain and expand the approved vendor list across raw material suppliers and process partners.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines; release POs and drive them to closure.
Track order status, coordinate logistics (inbound and vendor-to-vendor movement for multi-stage processing), and manage delivery schedules against production plans.
Monitor vendor performance on quality, delivery, and responsiveness; escalate and resolve deviations.
Maintain procurement records, vendor files, and reporting dashboards for management review.

Desired Skills And Qualifications

13–5 years of hands-on procurement experience in the aerospace, defence, or precision engineering sector.
Strong understanding of aerospace raw material grades, forms (sheet, plate, bar,
