The Fabric Dyeing & Printing Follow-up Executive is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the fabric dyeing process to ensure timely production, required quality standards, and adherence to delivery schedules. The role involves close coordination with the dyeing unit, quality, planning, warehouse, and merchandising teams to ensure smooth workflow and minimize production delays.
Key Responsibilities
Production Coordination
- Monitor daily dyeing production as per the approved production plan.
- Follow up with dyeing & printing units to ensure timely completion of dyeing orders.
- Coordinate with internal and external processing facilities for job work.
- Track production status and report delays to the Production Manager.
Process Monitoring
- Ensure fabrics are processed according to approved shade standards and technical specifications.
- Follow up on machine loading, processing, drying, and finishing schedules.
- Monitor batch-wise production progress and maintain status reports.
Quality Coordination
- Shade approval and fabric inspection.
- Follow up on corrective actions for shade variation, dyeing defects, or quality issues.
- Ensure rejected or reprocessed lots are completed within the required timeline.
Planning & Documentation
- Maintain dyeing production registers and daily progress reports.
- Update ERP/MIS with production status, batch details, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare daily and weekly production reports for management review.
Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with stores for timely availability of greige fabric, dyes, chemicals, and accessories.
- Ensure dyed fabric is transferred to the next process without unnecessary delay.
Communication
- Liaise with Merchandising, Planning, Quality, Stores, and Dispatch teams regarding production status.
