Automation Engineer (AI-Assisted Test Automation)
What You ll Own
- End-to-end framework ownership: Design, build, maintain, and be the single point of accountability for the company's automation framework from the ground up: architecture, conventions, tooling, reporting, and CI/CD integration.
- AI-driven automation: Use Claude to accelerate test design, generate and refactor test code, debug failures, and scale coverage across frameworks. Drive adoption of AI-assisted testing (e.g., Playwright MCP) as a core team capability.
- Cross-stack test development: Write reliable automation in multiple frameworks and languages as the product demands web, API, and beyond using Claude to move fluidly between stacks.
- Robust Playwright suites: Build cross-browser, parallelized, stable end-to-end tests with Playwright; eliminate flakiness and keep the suite quick and trustworthy.
- CI/CD integration: Wire automated tests into the delivery pipeline so every change is continuously validated; own dashboards, reporting, and quality gates.
- Quality strategy: Define test strategy,
coverage standards, and best practices. Partner with developers to make the product testable by design and mentor the team on automation.
