Job Title: Cognos Analytics
Location - Bangalore
Experience Required: 6-8 years of experience in Cognos Analytics.
Technical/Functional Skills
6-8 years of Experience with Cognos Report development and maintaining reports.
Excellent understanding of SQL and data modeling principles.
Role involves analyzing business requirements.
Design, develop, and maintain Cognos BI reports and dashboards
Work with Framework Manager (FM) to build and manage data models
Develop:
List reports
Crosstab reports
Drill-through & master-detail reports
Create and maintain agile dashboards using Cognos Analytics
Optimize report performance and ensure efficient query execution
Perform data validation and testing
Collaborate with business users to gather reporting requirements
Support production issues and enhancements
Work on data integration from multiple sources (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
Experience in administrative tasks. Creating and maintaining schedules, jobs, troubleshooting reports failure.
Cognos Author certification is an added advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Participate in Agile/Scrum delivery model
Good to have skills
Knowledge on Agile Methodology
Knowledge of ETL tools (Informatica, DataStage, Talend)
Exposure to Power BI / Tableau (multi-BI skill advantage)
Basic scripting (shell/Python) for automation
Cloud exposure (Azure/AWS) – optional in newer projects
