Role & responsibilities
- Assisting with the physical unloading of incoming stock shipments from delivery vans or freight trucks
- Cross-referencing physical product counts against purchase orders, delivery notes, or manifest slips to spot discrepancies
- Checking inbound boxes and fragile products for shipping damage, scratches, or leaks, and logging defective items for returns
Preferred candidate profile
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift heavy boxes and stand for long shifts.
- Inventory Tracking: Proficiency with barcode scanners and inventory software.
- Basic Math: Robust counting skills for regular stock audits.
- Time Management: Capacity to meet strict unloading and stocking deadlines
- Retail Experience: Previous work in a warehouse, stockroom, or retail floor.
