Job Summary

The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for managing the procurement process for construction materials, equipment, and subcontractors for public works and commercial construction projects in the USA. The role involves coordinating with Estimation, Project Management, Suppliers, and Accounts teams to ensure timely procurement, cost optimization, and compliance with project specifications and schedules.

Key Responsibilities
- Review awarded project budgets, BOQs, drawings, specifications, and material requirements to develop procurement plans.
- Coordinate with the Estimation and Project Management teams to understand project scope, schedules, and procurement priorities.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors during both bidding and post-award stages.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with recent and existing suppliers and subcontractors.




- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and commercial conditions to achieve the best value.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and approved submittals to ensure procurement complies with project requirements.
- Coordinate and track technical submittals, product data sheets, samples, and material approvals from suppliers.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) to approved suppliers and subcontractors.
- Track Purchase Orders and follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and field teams to ensure materials are delivered according to construction schedules.
- Monitor procurement schedules and proactively identify material shortages, procurement risks, and delivery delays.
