Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and execution-focused Procurement Engineer Mechanical to join our Supply Chain team. This is a hands-on role responsible for sourcing and procuring mechanical components required for the manufacturing of EV chargers and power electronic products.

The ideal candidate takes ownership, follows up relentlessly with suppliers, resolves procurement challenges proactively, and works closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Stores, and Finance to ensure uninterrupted material availability. Key Responsibilities

* Source and procure mechanical components such as sheet metal parts, fabricated assemblies, machined components, die-cast parts, plastic components, fasteners, gaskets, cables, labels, packaging materials, and other standard hardware.

* Float RFQs, evaluate technical and commercial quotations, negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and commercial agreements.





* Raise Purchase Orders and ensure timely follow-up with suppliers for on-time deliveries.

* Coordinate with Engineering teams for prototype development, engineering changes, and new product introductions.

* Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while identifying and onboarding current vendors.

* Work closely with Production and Planning teams to ensure timely availability of materials and prevent production delays.

* Track open purchase orders and proactively resolve supply shortages, delays, and quality-related issues.

* Support cost reduction initiatives through alternate sourcing, localization, value engineering, and commercial negotiations.

* Evaluate supplier performance on quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness.
