Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Boiler Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain industrial boilers and related equipment. The ideal candidate should ensure safe and efficient boiler operation while complying with all safety regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor steam boilers and auxiliary equipment.
- Maintain the required steam pressure and temperature for production.
- Conduct routine inspections of boilers, pumps, valves, safety devices, and pipelines.
- Perform boiler blowdown, water level checks, and water treatment as per standard procedures.
- Monitor fuel consumption and optimize boiler efficiency.
- Record operational parameters in daily log sheets.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions and coordinate maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Maintain housekeeping in the boiler house.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and equipment failures.
Qualifications
- First & Second Class Boiler Operator Certificate (or equivalent government-approved boiler competency certificate).
- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience operating industrial boilers.
- Valuable knowledge of boiler operation, combustion systems, water treatment, and steam distribution.
- Familiarity with firewood, coal, biomass, or oil-fired boilers is an advantage.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
