Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the taxation function, ensuring compliance with the Income Tax Act, Goods and Services Tax (GST), and other relevant tax laws in India.
- Lead the preparation and timely filing of various tax returns, including income tax, GST, and TDS returns.
- Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize the tax position of the organization.
- Conduct regular tax audits and assessments, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization, ensuring timely adjustments to tax strategies.
- Collaborate with internal departments (finance, accounting, and legal) to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to tax compliance.
- Provide expert guidance on tax-related queries, ensuring the finance team understands compliance requirements and best practices.
- Manage relationships with external tax consultants, auditors, and government authorities to ensure smooth communication and compliance.




- Prepare detailed documentation to support tax positions taken in tax returns and during audits.
- Conduct training sessions for finance and accounting staff on tax compliance, updates, and best practices.
- Monitor and manage tax risks, ensuring proactive measures are taken to mitigate exposure and comply with statutory requirements.
- Lead the implementation of tax-related policies and procedures to enhance compliance and efficiency.
- Assist in Consolidation and preparation of Financial Statements, approval of entries, scrutiny of books of accounts.

Required skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Indian tax laws, including the Income Tax Act, GST Act, and relevant compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in tax software and accounting systems (e.g., Tally, ERP, SAP, QuickBooks) for managing taxation and financial reporting.
