The Tracking & Tracing Executive is responsible for monitoring the movement of shipments from pickup to final delivery. The role involves maintaining continuous communication with carriers and drivers, updating shipment statuses, identifying delays, resolving transit issues, and ensuring accurate tracking information is communicated to internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and monitor assigned shipments throughout the transportation lifecycle.
- Contact carriers, dispatchers, and drivers to obtain real-time shipment updates.
- Update Transportation Management System (TMS) with accurate shipment statuses.
- Ensure pickups, in-transit movements, appointments, and deliveries occur as scheduled.
- Proactively identify shipment delays and escalate critical issues to the operations team.
- Coordinate with brokers, dispatchers, warehouses, and customers regarding shipment progress.
- Verify Proof of Delivery (POD) documents after successful delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and shipment updates.
- Ensure compliance with customer service level agreements (SLAs).
- Resolve shipment discrepancies including detention, layover, missed appointments, and delays.
- Prepare daily tracking reports and operational updates.
- Support the operations team in minimizing service failures.
- Follow company SOPs for shipment tracking and documentation.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.
