Job Description:

The candidate should have experience in the IT industry with in-depth expertise in Mainframe technologies. The role involves development, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and IBM DB2. The candidate should have a good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and possess strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and IBM DB2
- Perform development and testing activities for enterprise Mainframe applications
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide effective problem resolution
- Analyze and resolve technical issues while ensuring application stability and quality
- Follow Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes throughout project execution
- Prepare and maintain project documentation as per quality standards




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver project requirements
- Ensure adherence to project quality processes and development best practices
- Participate in requirement discussions and provide technical inputs where required
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders

Core Skills Required:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in Mainframe technologies
- Solid hands-on experience in COBOL
- Hands-on experience in JCL
- Experience working with VSAM
- Experience in IBM DB2 development and testing
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
