Detailed Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Okta Consultant to onboard business applications onto the Okta platform using SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and OAuth 2.0 protocols. The ideal candidate should have robust expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM), application integration, provisioning automation, and Okta administration.
Key Responsibilities
Application Onboarding
- Lead end-to-end onboarding of applications into the Okta IAM platform.
- Integrate applications using SAML 2.0 and OIDC / OAuth 2.0.
- Collaborate with application teams to define authentication flows.
- Configure attribute mappings and claims.
- Validate user authentication and access experience.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with application teams, security teams, and HR / Identity Governance teams.
- Gather integration requirements and business access rules.
Identity Access Management
- Configure and manage Single Sign-On (SSO).
- Configure and manage Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Provisioning and Automation
- Implement SCIM-based provisioning.
- Implement API-based provisioning integrations.
- Build automation using Okta Workflows and REST APIs.
- Automate account creation, group assignments, and access revocation.
Required Skills
Must Have
Mandatory
- Strong hands-on experience with Okta SSO (SAML/OIDC), MFA, sign-on policies, and directory integration (AD/LDAP).
- Experience implementing conditional access using network zones and context-based policies.
- Knowledge of working with JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical mindset.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across teams.
- Strong documentation and process-oriented approach.
