Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Assistant Manager – Strategic Supply Chain Management in Chennai

What a typical day looks like:

Driving excess and Obsolete
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Drive cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives across the segments.
- Monitor and analyze Inventory across nodes to identify E&O; risks. (Excess, Obsolete, Aged).
- Track, report, and drive actions on E&O; inventory.
- Collaborate with SSCM, GAM & Site to reduce liabilities.




- Support disposition planning (resale, rework, scrap, or transfer).
- Align with business units (BUs) to negotiate liability sharing and recovery plans.
- Conduct root cause analysis for inventory variances and propose corrective actions.
- Provide data insights to support SSCM on decision-making.
- Provide insights into leadership on working capital performance and risk areas.
- Support SSCM’s to Negotiate with customers for liability coverage on E&O; exposure.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and end-of-life (EOL) transitions to minimize E&O; buildup.
- Work with finance to ensure proper accounting treatment for scrapped/disposed materials.
- Track closure status of committed E&O; actions and ensure timely execution.
- Partner with SSCM, GAM, Site, finance, and BU to align on E&O; reduction targets.
- Support quarterly/Monthly E&O; reviews with leadership and customers.
