Role & responsibilities
- Procurement of Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation items, Capital goods, and plant expansion materials across all 4 plant locations
- Conducting in-depth techno-commercial negotiations with suppliers
- Coordinating with plant users to understand requirements and communicate them to suppliers
- Preparing quotation comparison sheets and obtaining approvals for high-value items and capital goods
- Monitoring on-time delivery of critical materials
- Developing alternate sources or equivalent items
- Regularly monitoring open PRs and POs, initiating corrective actions when needed
- Coordinating with accounts for timely supplier payments
- Driving cost optimization through initiatives
- Ensuring supply of materials that meet required quality standards

Preferred candidate profile
- Hands-on experience on SAP (S4 Hana)
- Experience in negotiations, cost optimization and vendor development
- Willing to work 6 days a week with alternate Sat off.
