The Role

We’re looking for a
Backend Engineer
to help build DecisionX’s
data backbone and AI-powered decision engine from the ground up
.

This is a high-ownership role. You’ll design and build systems that ingest and reason over massive datasets, orchestrate multi-agent workflows, and deliver sub-second insights to real enterprise users.

You won’t just implement features-you’ll shape architecture,



make core technical decisions, and own outcomes end-to-end.

What You’ll Build

Data Infrastructure
- High-throughput ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting millions of records daily from ERPs, APIs, warehouses, and files
- Data models for time-series, hierarchical dimensions, and large-scale aggregations
- OLAP query layers delivering sub-second performance on complex analytics
- Real-time streaming systems with exactly-once semantics
- Thoughtful tradeoffs: when to denormalize, pre-aggregate, cache, or compute on demand

Tech:
ClickHouse, Druid, Snowflake, BigQuery, Kafka, Airflow

AI Agent Systems
- Multi-step agentic workflows: goal decomposition, task coordination, learning loops
- Stateful execution engines that maintain decision context across sessions
- Reasoning systems where agents autonomously query data, simulate outcomes, and update plans
- Production-grade prompt engineering, context management, and streami
