NOC Network Engineer Level 2 is responsible for providing security, high-availability, performance, stability, and scalability for complex and distributed enterprise-networking infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitor enterprise network, server, and security infrastructure using NOC monitoring
tools.
• Works alongside the Networking Team, Telecomm Team, Applications Support Team and
System Administration Team to support, monitor, maintain and enhance production communications networks.
• Provides Tier 2 & 3 level support for IT Operations Teams.
• Interfaces with Service Provider Support Engineers to troubleshoot carrier circuit and routing issues.
• Escalate complex issues to Level 3 Engineering or vendors when required.
• Provides identification and troubleshooting of internal and external connectivity and communications
problems.
• Provides design documentation and up-to-date network diagrams of the enterprise networks.
• Collaborates with Cybersecurity Team to support and contribute to ITs Cybersecurity
Program.
• Mentor and assist Level 1 NOC Technicians with technical troubleshooting and best practices.
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
• Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, UDP, and Wi-Fi 802.11 protocols
