About the Role

Zensar Technologies is looking for a talented
Software Engineer – Core Java
to join our team in Pune. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a mission-critical
Order Management System (OMS)
used within Capital Markets trading platforms.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience in Java backend development, strong SQL skills, and working knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments. You will be involved in application development, production support, issue analysis, bug fixing, and enhancement of enterprise-grade software systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, test, and maintain backend applications using Core Java.
- Analyze and troubleshoot application issues using logs, SQL queries, and UNIX/Linux commands.
- Fix bugs and implement minor enhancements in OMS applications.
- Participate in code reviews, testing,



and defect resolution activities.
- Support production issue investigation and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to understand system architecture and coding standards.
- Follow SDLC processes, release management practices, and coding best practices.
- Document issue analysis, resolutions, and troubleshooting procedures.

Required Skills

Core Java
- Strong understanding of Core Java and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Knowledge of Collections Framework, Exception Handling, and Multithreading fundamentals.
- Experience writing clean, maintainable, and efficient Java code.
- Basic debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Database / SQL
- Good knowledge of RDBMS concepts and SQL.
- Ability to write and optimize basic to intermediate SQL queries.
- Understanding of joins, indexes, constraints, and stored procedures.

UNIX / Linux
- Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux commands.
