Role Description
The Product Development Specialist: Food is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role involves leading end-to-end development of new food products, from concept generation and formulation to testing, refinement, and launch. The specialist will conduct market and consumer research, analyze trends, and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as procurement, operations, marketing, and quality assurance. Daily tasks include designing trials, documenting results, optimizing recipes for taste, cost, and shelf life,



and ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. The role also includes coordinating with suppliers, supporting packaging decisions, and preparing clear reports and presentations on product performance and recommendations.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D;) experience to design trials, develop formulations, and improve existing products.
- Candidates should possess strong Market Research and Product Management skills to identify opportunities, define product requirements, and support successful launches.
- Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to interpret data, assess product performance, and make evidence-based recommendations.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings clearly.
- Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field is preferred.
