Role & responsibilities

As a Resident Engineer, you will serve as the primary technical representative at the project site. You will coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and railway authorities to ensure that all S&T; activities are completed safely, efficiently, and within the project schedule. The role requires robust technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience in managing railway infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the execution of railway signalling and telecommunication works at the project site.
- Monitor installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of signalling systems.
- Ensure all work complies with Indian Railways specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, consultants, and railway officials for smooth project execution.
- Review engineering drawings, technical documents, and project plans.
- Identify and resolve technical issues encountered during project implementation.
- Monitor project progress, prepare technical reports,



and maintain project documentation.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned milestones while maintaining quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site teams.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidates should possess one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering
- M.Sc. in Physics
- M.Sc. in Electronics

Experience Requirements

Candidates can qualify through either of the following pathways:

Option A Industry Experience
- Minimum 15years of total professional experience after graduation.
- At least 8years of experience in Railway Signalling Systems.
- Minimum 3years of experience as a Resident Engineer or Senior Engineer in railway signalling projects.
