Role Description
The Visual Journalist will document the lives, stories, and experiences of communities Maitri serves through photography, videography, and multimedia storytelling.



This role involves planning and executing visual projects, visiting program sites, conducting interviews with community members and staff, and capturing high-quality visual content that aligns with Maitri’s mission and ethical guidelines. The Visual Journalist will collaborate with program teams and communications staff to develop narrative concepts, produce short films and photo essays, and prepare content for reports, social media, and advocacy campaigns. Responsibilities include organizing and archiving visual material, ensuring informed consent and respectful representation, and contributing to creative strategies that amplify marginalized voices. This is a full time, on-site role based in Vrindavan, requiring regular field work and close coordination with local project teams.
