Position: Industrial Designer Bengaluru, India
Note: It is specific skills profile and quiet different from typical CAD designer. It is for industrial
designer who is expected to develop concept first and then must have capability to create
design in creo tool using advanced surfacing capabilities.
Role:
- Hands-on industrial design for new product development (NPD) and product revisions, with
emphasis on pneumatic & cordless power tools, Industrial Lifting Equipment, and regional projects.
- Lead the development of design solutions that integrate those aspects of the product or system that
relate most directly to human characteristics, needs and interests for the benefit of the user.
- Prepare clear & concise recommendations through drawings, models and verbal descriptions.
- Support industrial design colleagues as a design liaison with suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality user-preferred designs, with features that highlight innovation and ensure that
key design and ergonomic requirements are met.
- Integrate the needs of project team members: marketing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and
service to provide optimum designs that achieve project team objectives.
- Work closely with design manager and other industrial designers to ensure design integrity and
product identity.
- Provide optimum designs that satisfy customer needs and support brand strategy.
- Integrate design solutions with related functions such as packaging, graphics, etc. to ensure
positive customer experience.
- Apply practical design requirements for production processes.
- Use CAID programs (Creo)/ SolidWorks for design documentation to reduce development time.
- Communicate concepts and specifications to the project team.
