Linux Infrastructure Engineer:
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Linux Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen the technology backbone that keeps our organization connected, secure, and future ready. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable Linux-based tools, services, and systems while ensuring high availability, performance, security, and operational excellence.
You will proactively identify and resolve issues, optimize infrastructure performance, and contribute to delivering a stable, resilient, and seamless digital experience across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the availability, stability, and performance of critical services and systems.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, manageable, and cost-productive Linux infrastructure solutions.
- Build, deploy, and support Linux-based tools, services, and platforms.
- Automate infrastructure management using configuration management tools and scripting.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues before they impact operations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, services, processes, and infrastructure changes.
- Implement and maintain security best practices across infrastructure environments.
- Manage and support containerized platforms and orchestration environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and secure solutions.
- Participate in a rotating 24/7 on- call/standby support schedule.
Mandatory Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in Debian Linux and/or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Hands-on experience with Puppet and Ansible.
- Advanced scripting skills using Bash and/or Python.
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
- Experience with GitFlow for source control and deployment management.
- Strong understanding of web applications, networking, infrastructure monitoring, and security.
