Position Summary
The General Manager is the senior operational authority for Nimai Valley, a residential research
and hospitality campus operated by One Health Trust. The role is responsible for campus
operations, estate management, hospitality services, financial performance, safety, compliance,
and leadership of a 45-member team across five departments.
Position Details
Reports To: Executive Director / COO
Team Size: 45 FTEs across 5 departments
Budget Responsibility: Approximately 3.1 Crore annual operating budget
Sector: Research Campus & Institutional Hospitality
Key Responsibilities
1.Campus Operations & Estate Management
Oversee facilities, housekeeping, food & beverage, events, and security operations.
Maintain buildings, grounds, drainage systems, and solar infrastructure.
¢ Implement SOPs and conduct quarterly operational audits.
¢ Lead preventive maintenance and capital projects.
¢ Manage procurement processes and vendor contracts.
2. Guest & Resident Experience




¢ Maintain exceptional hospitality standards.
¢ Manage the complete guest journey from arrival to departure.
¢ Resolve complaints and operational issues.
¢ Support leadership visits and institutional events.
3. Team Leadership & HR Management
¢ Recruit, onboard, develop, and manage department heads and staff.
¢ Conduct performance reviews and training programs.
¢ Ensure workforce planning and 24/7 staffing coverage.
¢ Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR policies.
4. Financial Management
¢ Manage the annual operating budget.
¢ Monitor monthly expenditure and financial reporting.
¢ Control costs and improve operational efficiencies.
¢ Negotiate contracts and vendor agreements.
5. Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
¢ Maintain compliance with FSSAI, Fire NOC, labor laws, and Karnataka regulations.
¢ Coordinate with government and regulatory agencies.
