Position Overview:

Tata Advanced Systems is hiring an Optronics Technician for our production facility in Bangalore. This role focuses on high-precision mechanical, optomechanical, and electro-mechanical assembly. The ideal candidate has solid hands-on skills in assembly, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting, along with the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities
- Precision Assembly: Assemble optomechanical components and perform critical gluing to mechanical sub-assemblies.
- System Integration: Integrate electronics into mechanical housings and assemble high-precision mechanical parts.
- Testing & Quality: Conduct professional sealing and purging processes on optical and mechanical assemblies.
- Measurement: Perform precise marking and measurement using Vernier calipers, micrometers,



and dial indicators.
- Documentation: Read and follow standard assembly instructions and interpret technical blueprints.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical, Electronics, or Optoelectronics engineering.
- Experience (ITI): 2 to 5 years of experience in precision assembly.
- Experience (Diploma): 1 to 3 years of experience in precision assembly.

Technical Competencies :

Essential Skills
- Strong experience in assembling precision mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
- Proven ability to interpret technical engineering drawings accurately.
- Hands-on skills in hardware maintenance, repair, and general assembly.

Desirable Skills
- Experience with mechanical workshop operations like drilling, tapping, and precision tool alignment.
- Experience working with Bills of Materials (BOM).
