Chief Operating Officer (COO) Retail
Role Overview
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will spearhead the operational strategy, supply chain
execution, and physical/digital retail operations for our rapidly growing home decor brand.
As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will translate our creative vision into
a scalable, highly profitable operational reality.
Core Responsibilities
1. Omnichannel Retail & Inventory Operations
• Store Operations: Oversee the operational performance of all corporate brick-and-
mortar retail locations, ensuring peak efficiency, strict labor cost management, and
compliance with brand standards.
• Inventory Optimization: Partner with Buying and Planning teams to manage
inventory health, turn rates, and open-to-buy (OTB) budgets. Minimize stockouts on
core product lines while preventing overstock on seasonal collections.
• Visual & Spatial Execution: Collaborate with the Creative Director to ensure
operational workflows support high-end visual merchandising setups, floor-plan
resets, and showcase-level store environments.
2. Supply Chain,



Logistics & Sourcing
• Sustainability & Compliance: Ensure all supply chain practices align with corporate
sustainability goals, ethical sourcing standards, and materials compliance laws.
3. Financial Performance & Scaling
• P&L; Accountability: Own the operational budget, margin optimization, and cost of
goods sold (COGS) reductions across the supply chain and retail footprint.
• Expansion & Real Estate: Partner with the CEO and CFO on real estate selection,
lease negotiations, and the operational rollout/project management of current store
openings and pop-up concepts.
• KPI Tracking: Establish, monitor, and report on critical operational metrics,
including:
o Retail sales per square foot
o Inventory turnover ratio and shrinkage
o Order fulfillment cycle times and accuracy
o Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) vs. Lifetime Value (LTV) operational
efficiencies
