Role Description

The Executive Director – Construction will oversee end-to-end management of construction and civil engineering projects supporting Esse India’s operational and infrastructure needs.
This full-time, on-site role is based in Abroad
and includes responsibility for project planning, budgeting, and cost control to ensure timely and productive delivery. The role involves supervising construction activities, coordinating with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and local regulations. The Executive Director will lead procurement strategies for materials and services, manage contracts, mitigate risks, and provide regular reports on project progress and financial performance. The position also requires building and mentoring a project team, implementing best practices, and aligning construction initiatives with the organization’s long-term growth objectives.

Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Construction and Civil Engineering,



with a proven track record of managing mid to large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated skills in Budgeting and Cost Management to plan, monitor, and optimize project expenditures.
- Experience in Procurement, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and materials management.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience in leadership roles overseeing multidisciplinary project teams.
- Knowledge of local building codes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to coordinate with internal and external partners.
- Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad and commit to full-time availability.
