Position Summary
We are seeking a
Staff Mechanical Engineer
to join a growing R&D; team in Hyderabad supporting sustaining engineering, VAVE, and lifecycle management for the
KingFisher sample preparation systems
and
Detection instruments.
In this role, you will serve as a
technical lead for mechanical engineering initiatives
, driving design improvements, resolving complex technical issues,



and ensuring robust mechanical system performance across product lifecycles. You will play a key role in
sustaining and VAVE efforts
, while contributing to system integration and helping build capability toward
future product development ownership
.

Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Engineering Leadership
- Act as a technical lead for mechanical systems and subsystems, including assemblies, mechanisms, enclosures, and thermal/structural components.
- Lead design, analysis, and troubleshooting of mechanical components and systems.
- Drive root cause investigations for mechanical and system-level issues, including field failures and reliability concerns.
- Support design trade-offs, material selection, and tolerance analysis to optimize performance, cost, and manufacturability.

Sustaining Engineering & Lifecycle Management
- Lead mechanical workstreams for sustaining activities, including design updates, component obsolescence, and supplier changes.
