Azure Data Engineering Lead
Position Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Azure Data Engineering Lead to lead Azure-side data engineering, historical migration, legacy SQL transformation modernisation, and pipeline design for a Salesforce Data 360 implementation programme. The role will focus on large-volume data movement from Azure SQL / SQL Server, Azure Data Factory integration, Azure Functions transformations, data reconciliation, and governance-aligned delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Azure data engineering and migration workstreams for historical data movement into Salesforce Data Cloud.
- Design and implement Azure Data Factory based ingestion and orchestration frameworks.
- Analyse and modernise complex SQL Server stored procedures and legacy transformation logic.
- Design Azure Functions based transformation components and scalable ETL/ELT processing patterns.
- Build and optimise high-volume data pipelines, including reconciliation, validation, testing, and mock migration runs.
- Collaborate with Salesforce Data Cloud, Architecture, Tableau, QA, DevOps, DBA / infrastructure, and business teams.
- Define data governance, security, operational support, and handover practices for the migration and archival framework.
- Mentor data engineers and provide technical leadership, estimation, dependency management, and delivery oversight.
