Position Overview

The Deputy General Manager (DGM) – Operations & Maintenance will be responsible for the overall management of plant operations, maintenance strategies, equipment reliability, safety compliance, and performance optimization. The role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in thermal power plant operations, particularly in CFBC-based plants, capable of leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring uninterrupted plant performance.

The incumbent will play a key role in planning, execution,



and monitoring of operational activities while ensuring adherence to statutory regulations, environmental norms, and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management
- Ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the power plant.
- Monitor plant performance parameters and take corrective actions to achieve targeted generation levels.
- Optimize plant efficiency, fuel consumption, and operational costs.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, environmental, and safety regulations.

Maintenance Management
- Plan, supervise, and monitor preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Develop maintenance schedules to maximize equipment availability and reliability.
- Lead major shutdowns, annual overhauls, and turnaround activities.
