1. In-Process Inspection
- Perform stage-wise inspection of fabricated equipment as per approved Quality Control Plans (QCP), Inspection Test Plans (ITP), drawings, and customer requirements.
- Conduct inspection of raw materials, fabrication activities, welding operations, machining, assembly, and final finishing.
- Monitor fabrication processes to ensure compliance with approved procedures.
2. Welding Inspection
- Inspect welding activities as per approved WPS/PQR and applicable codes (ASME Section IX, ASME Section VIII, customer specifications).
- Perform weld visual inspection (VT) and verify weld parameters, joint preparation, consumables, and welder qualifications.
- Review welding records, repair procedures, and weld maps.
Final Inspection & Documentation
- Conduct final inspection of pressure equipment before dispatch.
- Prepare inspection reports, punch lists, and quality records.
- Maintain documentation dossiers as per customer and project requirements.
- Coordinate with third-party inspectors and customer representatives during inspection activities.
5. Quality Improvement
- Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions.
- Support root cause analysis and preventive action implementation.
- Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualification
Education:
- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
Experience:
- 4-10 years of experience in Quality Inspection of heavy fabrication, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, or process equipment manufacturing.
