Job Description: Senior Power Systems Engineer Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Power Systems Engineer responsible for performing system-level electrical design for customer grid-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) products. The role focuses on developing safe, versatile, reliable, maintainable, and cost-effective electrical designs by integrating battery systems, power conversion systems, transformers, controls, communication, auxiliary power, and safety equipment.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in electrical power system design, renewable energy systems, and BESS product development, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform core/system-level electrical design for multi-MW Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
- Develop electrical system requirements and designs integrating:
- Battery systems
- Power conversion systems (PCS/Inverters)
- Transformers (LV/MV)
- Control hardware
- Communication systems
- Auxiliary power systems
- Safety equipment




- Define system architecture, electrical interfaces, component selection, and configuration requirements.
- Prepare technical product documentation, including performance metrics, datasheets, and system configuration limitations.
- Support Sales Engineering teams with technical inputs for customer solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Software Engineering
- Verification & Testing
- Manufacturing
- Procurement
- Product Management
- Drive product integration activities and ensure all system components and features work together effectively.
- Develop system-level interface documents, installation guides, operation manuals, and maintenance documentation.
