Inventory Management:-
- Receive materials from suppliers and verify quantity and quality against Purchase Orders and Delivery Challans.
- Ensure proper storage and identification of materials.
- Issue materials to production departments based on approved requisitions.
- Maintain stock levels and ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Perform periodic physical stock verification and assist in inventory audits.
Documentation & Record Keeping:-
- Prepare and maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Slips, Gate Passes, and Stock Registers.
- Update inventory transactions in ERP/software or manual registers.
- Maintain proper documentation for inward and outward material movements.
- Report inventory discrepancies to the Stores Incharge.
Material Handling:-
- Ensure safe loading, unloading, stacking, and storage of materials.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
- Maintain proper labeling and traceability of materials.
Housekeeping & Safety:-
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stores area.
- Follow 5S practices and company safety guidelines.
- Ensure proper handling of hazardous or sensitive materials.
- Report damaged, expired, or obsolete inventory.
Coordination:-
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality, and Dispatch departments for smooth material flow.
- Support urgent production requirements by ensuring timely material issuance.
- Assist during internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Additional certification in Inventory or Warehouse Management is an added advantage.
Experience
- 0–2 years for Fresher/Junior Stores Assistant.
- Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing or precision engineering industry preferred.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of storekeeping and inventory management.
- Basic understanding of ERP/MIS systems (SAP, Tally, Oracle, or similar).
